With a background in mechanical and aerospace engineering, he has drafted and prosecuted patent applications related to medical devices, automobile components, multi-function printers, heat exchangers, and floor paneling. He has authored invalidity, non-infringement, and freedom to operate opinions, as well as counseled clients on patent portfolio development strategies.
Prior to practicing law, Brian was a moored training ship conversion lead auxiliary engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, where he led technical review of specifications, system descriptions, and diagrams for air and ventilation systems.
