Overview

Cameron Ubel focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications.

With a background in electrical and biomedical engineering, Cameron is familiar with a variety of technologies. He has prepared hundreds of patent applications related to medical devices, software, artificial intelligence, electrical hardware, network devices, and semiconductors. He has also worked with clients to prepare strategic continuation applications in view of competing technology.

Cameron has extensive experience at all stages of patent prosecution. In addition to drafting office action responses, Cameron has drafted appeal briefs, reply briefs, and responses to other patent office communications. When facing a subject matter eligibility rejection under 35 U.S.C. § 101, Cameron is skilled at crafting arguments and applying case law to obtain a favorable result. Outside the U.S., Cameron has prepared arguments for patent prosecution in many foreign jurisdictions including Europe, China, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
