Chris Cannella, Ph.D., focuses his practice on patent drafting and prosecution in the electrical and computer engineering fields.
He has extensive experience with a wide range of technologies, including machine learning, signal processing, data compression, error correction, and scientific computing. With a history working in astrophysics and chemistry research, he has particular experience with astronomical data processing, astrophysical simulation, and computational chemistry.
Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Chris was a research assistant at Duke University, where he developed techniques for inferring missing data using machine learning models. His work has been published in over a dozen peer-reviewed academic journals.
