Dechen Wangmo focuses her practice on patent prosecution in the life sciences and pharmaceuticals sectors.
Dechen’s legal experience encompasses evaluating the patentability of innovations, performing technical and legal research and analysis in matters related to office actions, conducting prior art searches to aid in prosecution strategy, and drafting patent applications. Her technical knowledge includes biotechnology, genetic technology, and pharmaceutical compounds.
During her Ph.D. studies, Dechen’s research focused on cancer biology, immunology, and disease modeling, including developing a tumor organoid model system to study metastasis and immune evasion in colorectal cancer.
