Pro bono activities
Jeffrey considers pro bono work an integral part of his practice, and he devotes considerable time to pro bono efforts. Recently, in conjunction with the Legal Aid Society, he has represented two clients in matters related to fair wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and he has advocated for black car service drivers through the Urban Justice Center. He has also provided pro bono services to local nonprofit organizations including Dancing Classrooms and Green Bronx Machine. Jeffrey serves as the pro bono coordinating attorney for Fish's New York office.
Case Work
Alongside the Legal Aid Society, Jeffrey and a Fish team represented a New York City building superintendent in a matter concerning fair wages. In recognition of their efforts in this case, the Fish pro bono team was awarded the Legal Aid Society's Pro Bono Publico award, which is presented to a small percentage of LAS teams in recognition of "outstanding and sustained achievements in pro bono services."
