Joseph Bauer focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the electrical and computer technology industries.
Joseph’s legal experience includes drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications, managing international patent portfolios, analyzing patentability and clearance issues, and conducting due diligence investigations, as well as assisting clients in post-grant proceedings.
During law school, Joseph served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Hildy Bowbeer and the Honorable Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Cowan Wright in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. He also worked as a student writer for the University of Iowa College of Law’s Journal of Corporation Law.
Prior to law school, Joseph participated in the year-long Edison Engineering Development Program at GE Healthcare, where he developed a web application for viewing medical images and Field Programable Gate Array programs for use in MRI machines.
