Overview

Julie Metkus advocates for clients in patent litigation matters related to chemical engineering and physical chemistry.

Julie’s legal experience includes working on patent infringement matters in District Court from filing through trial, including discovery, pleadings, dispositive motions, oral arguments, and motion practice. She has also drafted cross examinations for fact witnesses; led witness preparation sessions; conducted expert searches; drafted invalidity, inequitable conduct, survey, and damages expert reports; and assisted with preparation for depositions.

Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Julie’s notable work included representing a major ophthalmic device company in a medical device patent infringement lawsuit, representing several oilfield services companies in breach of contract and patent infringement litigation, and representing an automotive supplier in trade secret misappropriation litigation.

In her free time, Julie enjoys exploring new hiking trails, playing board games, and going out to the movie theater.
