Angela Parsons, Ph.D., focuses her practice on all aspects of patent prosecution, both in the U.S. and abroad, as well as due diligence, patentability opinions, and invalidity opinions. Clients include universities and research institutes, start-up companies, and large companies that operate in the pharmaceutical and life sciences spaces.
Angela’s practice encompasses technologies including stem cells and cell therapies; plant biotechnology and genomics; nucleic acid-based therapies such as vaccines and RNAi; next-generation sequencing techniques; human, plant, and bacterial genes and polypeptides; tissue engineering and regeneration; biofuels and green/environmental technology; food biochemistry; biologics; nanotechnologies; and diagnostic assays.
Angela started her patent law career at McGregor & Adler in Houston (1997-1999). Prior to patent law, Angela held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Biosciences and Technology on the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Her research experience includes work as a graduate research assistant in the department of genetics and cell biology at Washington State University, where she was the recipient of a McKnight Fellowship, and undergraduate honors research in the biology department at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
