Overview

Nina Elder focuses her patent litigation work on serving life sciences and pharmaceutical industry clients. 

Nina has a background in the biomedical sciences and is comfortable working with a variety of biotechnical and pharmaceutical innovations. In graduate school, she completed molecular and cellular biology research with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases and worked as a fellow in the university’s technology transfer office. 

During law school, Nina served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John R. Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. She also served as the student director for her law school’s Intellectual Property Clinic and competed in the Cardozo FAME Center Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition and National Health Law Moot Court Competition.  

Nina is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, where she coaches the Giles S. Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition team. In her free time, she enjoys searching for antiques and visiting art museums.
