Working alongside clients that range from emerging startups to large, established companies, Parvin is equipped to provide post-grant representation and strategic counsel that consider her clients’ business needs and position them to advance and protect the intellectual property behind their cutting-edge innovations. Her experience spans a diverse array of technologies, including software, machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, image/video processing, networking and wireless communications, distributed computing systems, medical devices, and electromechanical arts.

Parvin’s work for clients is marked by her meticulous attention to detail; whether drafting opinion letters, examining prior art, or reviewing references, she is adept at spotting gaps in arguments, developing thoroughly researched theories, and identifying viable paths to achieve a positive outcome. Enhancing her post-grant advocacy, Parvin has also worked extensively in U.S. and international patent prosecution and strategic counseling. Outside of her IP practice, she devotes time to pro bono matters, particularly in the areas of immigration and voting rights.

In her free time, Parvin enjoys hiking, swimming, and traveling with her family. She loves re-exploring the world through the eyes of her children.

Pro bono activities

Parvin provides pro bono legal services alongside organizations including Immigration Equality and Vote Riders. Her notable matters include representing an asylum-seeking client at risk of deportation to their home country, where they faced violence due to their LGBTQ+ identity. As a result of Parvin’s advocacy, her client eventually received permanent residency status in the U.S.
