Overview

Sara Fish’s experience includes patent and trade secret litigation representing clients in litigation matters in U.S. District Courts, such as the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the Northern District of California, and the District of Delaware, as well as various state superior courts. 

Sara has also worked on patent matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission and assisted with patent post-grant matters, such as inter partes and post-grant reviews, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She assists clients with all aspects of intellectual property litigation, ranging from pleading through discovery, claim construction, infringement and invalidity contentions, depositions, expert discovery, and trial. She drafts motions, takes and defends depositions, argues motions hearings, prepares witnesses for trial, and manages daily litigation tasks.

Sara’s patent litigations have involved consumer products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, software applications, and various other technologies. Sara has defended clients in trade secret misappropriation actions brought under the Defend Trade Secrets Act and parallel state trade secret statutes. These cases have also required defending against numerous related breach of contract and business tort actions. Her trade secret cases have involved products ranging from solar panels to telecommunications devices, and included source code, customer list, and pricing issues.

She also makes time to assist pro bono clients before superior and state courts, as well as in venues like housing court and juvenile court.
