Sonali Mohanty focuses her practice on patent drafting and prosecution in the electrical engineering sector.
Sonali has extensive experience with a wide range of electrical- and computer-related technologies, including signal and image processing, machine learning, data structures and algorithms, semiconductors, optics, control systems, quantum nanotechnology, advanced lasers, circuit design and analysis, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. She works with inventors to ensure that she has a firm grasp of their technologies and then assesses their patentability, searches for relevant prior art, and drafts patent applications.
Prior to her patent practice, Sonali was an extern at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she gained experience analyzing patent applications, mapping and comparing prior art references to patent claims, and applying U.S. patent laws to draft office actions.
